Do boxers earn more than footballers?

i.e. Does Ricky hatton earn more than Cristano Ronaldo? if not whihc boxer does?

In general the answer is no. When you compare athletics in both sports you have to compare everyone, not just the top notch boxers and football players.

In the NFL, the salary minimum is well over $200,000 per season. There are some pro boxers who may begin their career having to fight over ten times in one year just to make that $200,000. And getting ten fights in a year is not guaranteed. Then you get to the big boys, the top boxer may get lucky to earn $5-15 million after in one year, if they can get two fights in. Some top notch NFL players easily earn $10 million in one season.
