I've been thinking about boxing combinations and figuring which ones don't work and which ones do. Now I know boxing is about improvising, as with most fighting arts, there is no set combination that will make you win. Everyone has heard of 1-2 and 1-1-2 and 1-2-3, but I have come up with a combination that is fast, aggressive, and should land some hits at least. Here is the combination:
Jab (move in), Cross, Left Head Hook, Cross, Left Head Hook, Right Uppercut, Left Head Hook, Cross
In boxing notation:
1-2-3-2-3-4-3-2
The idea behind it is that the 1-2-3-2 will flood through a guy's defense because it is a quick barrage of punches. The Left Hook off the 1-2-3-2 acts as a connector punch for the 4-3-2 punch combination. You usually don't expect a Left Head Hook followed by a Right Uppercut, Left Head Hook, Cross. So tell me boxers and non boxers, what do you think of this combo, and what changes/alterations would you make to it. Thanks!
