Question:

Boxing Hand Wraps. Which is better, stretch or non-stretch?

I've never used non-stretch hand wraps. The sporting store near my house has only non-stretch Everlast wraps, which is much cheaper than the ones my boxing gym sells (Select). In your opinion, which is better, stretch hand wraps or non-stretch hand wraps?

I appreciate it if you can share your opinion with me. Thanks.

  1. Definately non-stretch. It's like punching someone wearing a cast.

  2. I have to agree with Tornado.

  3. I prefer the Mexican (stretch) wraps or the HandWrap Gauze (available through www.ringside.com).  I always liked the stretchable wraps because they are more elastic and conform to your hand better.  Just be careful not to wrap them too tight or they will cut off circulation.
