Ok, so I am an "Out" fighter type or an outside fighter, and I came up with this combo- Jab (move in), Left Head Hook. Simple enough, but I'd like to add another punch to the combination, what punch should I add? Thanks!

  1. any punch. combinations are endless. a good one always is jab, cross, hook

    or jab, hook, cross,

    or jab, cross, hook, upper-cut

try all sorts of combinations with all the punches you know

  2. i personally box inside and outside. Depends on the style i fight.

But if you wanna start with the jab and then left hook to the head, make sure as you throw the left hook that your also turning so that you can maintain body position. You wanna try and move your body to the left so that your ready to punch and your opponent is out of position. Then look for either the right hook to the body or uppercut to the jaw as they are turning to the right to get back into position.

Try not to think so much about specific combinations. Things dont usually work out that way. Try to think more like "when i do this what does he do, and what can i do to land a punch." You dont wanna force combos that arent there. My trainer always told me, take whats there.

As an outside fighter, combos are always nice, but good footwork to get into favorable position is much more important.

  3. follow through with a right hook to the ribs
