Boxing Special Report: Devon Alexander the great- remains unbeaten and untouchable, to fight Timothy Bradley in 2011
Boxing is a game which needs power, passion and sheer stamina. It is played and practised by warriors and by men who are strong and tough. The ring of boxing has been ruled by many greats of history but one name which seems unforgettable these days, is the name of current champion boxer Devon Alexander. Devon Alexander who is also known as Alexander the great, has the capacity and capability of thrashing any stronger opponent in the world and that is the reason why he is considered as the world’s most lethal attacker.
In a recent match, Alexander the great smashed a thrashing victory against a veteran opponent Andriy Kotelnik. Alexander attacked his opponent like never before and his sheer powerful punches earned him a thrashing victory in no time. Alexander is still unbeaten and he is showing no signs of bowing out from his remarkable punching form. After beating Kotelnik in a jaw breaking performance, this 23 year old boxing sensation has shown the world that he has done something which is unprecedented and he has the capacity of being one of the all time greats of the boxing world.
Just after the match, his trainer Kevin Cunningham showed a great deal of confidence in this boxing sensation. Cunningham showed his passion and excitement in a very blunt manner and placed a shirt with Bradley’s name tagged in it and announced an open challenge for the veteran boxing opponent Timothy Bradley.
In the recent match against Andriy Kotelnik, Alexander showed a splendid performance but according to the critics, it was a good effort but was not probably the best from Alexander the great. It was a very easy decision for the judges, as all the judges made a unanimous decision of putting the victory on the Alexander’s side and scored the tussle by 116-112. After winning the match, Alexander seemed pretty comfortable and relaxed with the way he fought. Alexander told the media and said that it was an average fight from him and he is not so excited about the way he has fought. Later he added that he is still happy that he has done enough to win the match, which is definitely a sign of satisfaction from him.
The twenty three year old boxer is now well ready to fight against Timothy Bradley, which is certainly going to be not an easy fight for him, as Bradley is currently considered as one of the best names in the boxing world. The bout against Timothy will be the biggest challenge for Alexander’s boxing career and this greatest battle between the two master boxers will be taken place in January. Alexander is the master in using stick and jab method to dispose his opponent. His speed and perfection in the punches makes him more lethal for the rival. Later after the match, he said that he has trained himself to his fullest and he is very well aware of his stronger and weaker points. He added that he trained himself for 12 rounds and his training helped him to settle the brawl in a victorious style.
Alexander is busy getting all the remarks of being the champ and the defeat has made Kotelnik even more frustrated. Kotelnik seemed very angry about the situation and said that he was not expecting anything like that at all. He added that the belt belongs to him and he will do anything to win the belt back. Kotelnik seemed angry with the decision made by the judges and said that the decision was one sided and he is not happy with the way judges announced the winner.
After the thrashing win against Kotelnik, people are fantasizing about the upcoming bout between the two current champs of the boxing world, Alexander the great and Timothy Bradley. The fight will most probably take place in the first month of 2011. It is going to be the best battles of the year, as both the boxers are undefeated and both are performing at their best.
