Boxing break?

What happens if a boxer needs the toilet halfway through a fight?

If he said I desperately need the loo and he's not lying, let's pause for a toilet break then comes back in, is that legal? If it isn't legal, shouldn't it be legal? I mean when you gotta go you gotta go!

  1. I'm going to suspend my belief in rationality for a second and answer this "question".  OF COURSE NOT. . . . What if I'm HUNGRY. . .should I get a sandwich break?  What if my opponent's punches are tiring me out. . . should I be entitled to a nap like in kindergarten?

A low blow, a lost mouthpiece, drooping trunks, a split glove, dangling tape, accidental headbutts. . . . THESE are reasons for a VERY short break in the action to fix the problem.  The restroom isn't a valid "breaktime" reason.  Be a big boy, and use the restroom, toilet, loo, cloakroom, watercloset, whatever. . . .BEFORE YOU FIGHT!!!

  2. to be honest with you I don't think that would happen. first when a persons adrenaline goes up as it does in a fight their body doesn't have time to digest and dispose of food, and two if you ever been in a fight you would understand the amount of energy needed to do so and so any excess liquids in the body would probably be absorbed.
