  1. roy harris was a fair fighter another hand picked opponent by cus dmato it was clear patterson was better and won on points so what if he knocked patterson down lots of fighters did good and bad harris was better quality than radamaker hurricane jackson etc harris like patterson had a glass chin but patterson had the speed and style harris like patterson also looked like a fool against sonny liston ko 1 as far as im concerned patterson was overated a good fighter but overated harris was average this is why patterson won in the 12th rd not many people remember roy harris i believe hes still living but will always be remembered for three things knocking patterson down getting beat by patterson and being destroyed by sonny liston both patterson and harris should of been light heavys even back then

  2. Actually, Floyd Patterson stopped him after the 12th round ended to defend his world championship.  Roy Harris did not come out for the 13th round.  He was trailing badly on the scorecards when the fight ended, these were the scores: 117-97, 116-102, and 117-98.  So, Patterson would have won anyways even if it was only a 12 round fight.  Patterson would not have been TKO'd by Harris because he was only dropped once in the 2nd round, but he got up and knocked Harris down once in the 7th, twice in the 8th, and once in the 12th.  There is no way that Harris was going to win that fight by decision or especially by TKO.
