is their a league that takes youth boxers like age 14-18?

  2. Yep. It's called Amateur Boxing and the age range is much broader (I think it goes up to 34). All boxing gyms will accept fighters aged 14-18. In fact that's the prime age range to start learning.

    Sign up at a local club and start getting in shape. Once you've acquired some skills you'll be paired up with other members of the gym in sparring sessions. Soon after your coach will arrange you a fight against someone of similar weight, skill level  and age.

    If you're in the US go to boxinggyms.com and you can pull up a pretty good directory of listings.

    If you're in Canada go to the provincial boxing site that pertains to you for full gym listings (re:www.boxingontario.com, etc...)

  3. yes there is boxing for young kids and teenagers in amateur boxing. you can find out more information at amateurboxing.com  ,  at  usaboxing.org  and at any local boxing gym, club, or rec center
