Boxing for teens?

i am going to turn 16 this may. i have never been part of an actual boxing association or anything but i love boxing. does anyone know of any boxing organizations for 16 year olds in Newport News virginia. i want something like AAU.

ok heres a wesite to find a boxing gym in your area. Once you get to the boxing gym and find a good coach he/she will find all the tournements and everything. I live in Ohio and I have been boxing for 10 years this is wha got me started. Hope it helps!

16 is a great age to start boxing and you can find a trainer in your area. I'm not sure what AAU is but if you register with USA boxing you will be able to find trainers in your area and fight in amateur competitions
