Boxing in philadelphia?

I want to get my boyfriend boxing lessons for a gift. He wants to learn and is really in to UFC. We live in the Philadelphia/Bluebell/Fort Washington area. What is the best place to go? I need some recommendations!! Any personal experiences anywhere would be great, good or bad, so I know where not to go to!

Joe hand is the first place that comes to mind, but their are tons of boxing gyms in philly

I would say the pick of these would be the Jack Costello boxing club, the James Schuler boxing gym and Joe Frazier's Gym. If your boyfriend's aim is to get to the UFC, then he would need to be well-versed in different striking and grappling techniques. Fortunately, there is a Mixed Martial Arts gym in Philly - Philadelphia Mixed Martial Arts Academy (http://www.phillymma.com). That should be worth a look.
