Boxing "fans" p**s me off how bout u ????

Question

i cant stand when people look at records and then make decisions. styles make fights, along with heart... which mayweather has none of. cotto will have a tougher match with margerito than he will with floyd. but cotto will take care of AM then beat mayweather by ko.. cuz if he doesnt knock him out they will give the fight to mayweather just for the "name" aspect. calzaghe will have a sparing lesson with hopkins... calzaghe is the best fighter the boxing world has, tho people will disagree cuz they havent seen him and hes not black. pavlik will be beating lockett and then abraham with out a doubt. hes not far behind calzaghe, but not there yet. the best fighters right now are calzaghe, cotto, mayweather, and pavlik... guess what mayweather fans who dont know anything, all these guys are undefeated too, all with better knockout ratios and have never ran from anyone. is someone gonna tell me different who is an actual fan ?????

hay calico or whatever Ur name is i can name another how bout Edison Miranda he was i rising up and comer. that's how it works, sure styles make fights but that's y u fight to buff up Ur name u don't win u don't fight its a battle for position more than anything sure i know wat u mean but if ur good u dont loose look at wat ur saying it dosent matter the record but people like floyd and pavlik beat other fighters u say no names but there styles should make the fight and even being as true as it is still no one has beat them so ur just as bad as every other boxing fan because ur going off of name to name in boxing is everything its part of the sport no name no fame my friend

Hmmm Calzaghe as the best fighter? And you say you are a boxing fan?

He may well and truly be- but- he has done little in his career to define himself as such.  His best win to date is over Mikkel Kessler, and that really is not saying much.

I agree with you on Cotto, but disagree with you on PBF.  

I think if pavlik were to fight Calzaghe today, pavlik would KO the guy.

Maybe I don't know as much as you.... does that mean I am not a legitimate fan?

Okay. . .I'll bite.

"Cotto will have a tougher fight with Margarito than he will with Floyd"??? You CAN'T be serious!  Respectfully, sir. . . I think Cotto-Margarito will be a BETTER fight for the fans to watch, since both throw big bombs and put defense on the back burner of importance.  It will be fun to see. . .but it won't exactly be a scientific boxing match.  Cotto-Floyd, though. . or should I say Floyd-Cotto . . . . will really allow Floyd to show that 1) he really does hit hard and 2) he really is the best fighter in the world today.  

I know he's been embarrassing himself on Dancing with the Stars and WWF. . . .but at the end of the day. . .I know he's better than Cotto.  Money wagered on Cotto to "knock him out" is money better spent on neck-braces and icepacks.  

"Calzaghe is the best fighter the boxing world has". . . . uh. . . how could you POSSIBLY know that?  True, there is a bit of American arrogance that goes along with "well, if I haven't HEARD of his opponents, then they can't be any good". . .but COME ON!  I'm more than your average boxing fan, and I honestly can't (off the top of my head) name more than five or six of Calzaghe's opponents.  I'm not saying he's no good. . . .he might BE our best fighter.  But with Kessler, Lacy, Manfredo, and Bika topping his record. . .. I'm sorry, but it just doesn't compare to Bernard's.  And I'm PICKING Joe to win on a UD!

boxing fans are the greatest fans in professional sports along with football, basketball, and baseball fans. we are die hard lovers of the sports. we are dedicated to our fighters regardless of time and place in history. fighters like bill richmond, tom molineaux, peter jackson, george dixon, joe walcott, joe gans, jack johnson, sam langford, sam mcvey, joe jeanette, harry wills, and george godfrey along with tiger flowers, henry armstrong, joe louis, sandy saddler, ray robinson, ike williams, and archie moore made the sport of boxing and make me hold my head up and made me pround

First of all, no, boxing fans don't p**s me off but anyways.  I'll jump in there and defend Floyd.  He is not as great as he thinks, he might not be the greatest in the world right now and certainly isnt the greatest of all time.  Nevertheless he is an incredible fighter who seems to get very little respect from the casual fans because so many people on this pathetic planet cant understand its BOXING, THE SWEET SCIENCE, not street brawling.  And you know what?  Floyd went into the ring with Hatton and fought his(Hatton's, a brawler) fight, AND, knocked him out.  So lets let the win-loss record determine who the best fighter is.  My only issue with Floyd is that he wont fight Cotto.

who has calzaghe fought?? 2 reality show boxers, jeff lacy whom any half descent fighter can beat and mikkel kessler who has racked up wins against a bunch of nobody's. and as far as Pavlik is concerned why would he be considered amongst the elite? cuz he beat one guy? name another top fighter he's defeated besides Taylor......

your right if you are whats considered a boxing fan"they p**s me off too" no one appreciates the art of boxing anymore all they want to see is two dummies stand toe to toe and punch each other in the face all day. anyone can do that. if thats the case me and you can get in the ring and go blow for blow and the winner is a great boxer. there is a difference between boxing and fighting, and what most so called "boxing fans" want to see is fighting. for that just go on youtube and type in street fights or something.
