  1. I think it was a ploy to keep the guys away from girls - who cause problems with training etc when they are around. No s*x allowed means not spending much time with girls therefore no "girl" problems when boxers are training.

  2. The rule is an attempt to make the boxers g*y. That is all there is to it.

  3. because it takes the aggression out of a boxer. you put a man in a small room with nothing but sweat and blood where all he can do is lift, hit focus mits, heavy bag, etc and spar then tell him he can't be with his wife or girlfriend for 3 months before a fight and you get one h**l of an aggressive individual.

on the other hand a boxer who comforts himself and is making love to his woman every night is not gonna be the same fighter when it gets time to get into the ring. I don't think it is so much physical but more of a mental preparation.

  4. Hi, my ex was a boxer, and a very good one 2, he was asked to try not to have it a couple of days before a fight so it keeps his testerone high and the aggresion, he had only ever lost one fight, but he didn't always stick to the rul, i am very demanding ;), but seriously it is like footballers are told the same thing.
