Boxing vibrations effect piano?

I just installed a large 60-pound punching bag down in my basement for my brother. unfortunately, the placement was right underneath our living room, which has our grand piano in it. now when my brother boxes, it vibrates upstairs in the living room, shaking our piano. i was wondering if this is bad for our piano or does it affect it at all?

There are too many variables involved here for me to give you a simple answer of 'yes' or 'no'.

All I can say is keep an eye on it.   Someone who plays will know how it is impacted.

My gut feeling is;  it was not a good idea.
