I have been to Boxwood Cafe, and it is nice there. The food is lovely, but the portions are not very big and I was still hungry afterwards!

But definately worth a visit!

One is modern British, the other is Chinese.

Boxwood is fairly casual although the food is lovely, it's not very glamorous or anything. The Blue Bar in the Berkley Hotel which Boxwood is part of is worth a drink before/after if you choose to go there.

Hakkasan is more glam and sophisticated, hidden down a dingy alley, only been there for drinks, but the food is meant to be great too.

The style and atmosphere of the two places are poles apart, so it depends what you want from your evening really.
