I think the USA is getting ridiculous. The boy should play what he is good at. The other kids wear helmets and will be fine. I also heard on the news that some parents were upset because that team was wining by so much the other kids were feeling ashamed and did not want to play. That is sports honey some win some loose. You don't tell michael jordan don't play so well because others feel intimidated by you. I am so sick of this everyone wins no one should feel like a looser, don't keep score, attitude of children sports.

  1. I agree. You don't take a kid off of his best position because he is too good. Any parent would dream that their child would be that good. This boy is devoted to pitching, but they say the teams are not equalized when he pitches. They won't have a league if they let him continue. It's like getting in a pool with Michael Phelps. You can do it, but you aren't going to win. The self-esteem of the other kids is very important too, but this little dude is good, and he'll be heading to the majors in no time. At least he can still be used in other positions.

  2. You're right he should be able to play.I feel sorry for him.

  3. Everyone should be taught to lose also or you're setting them up for a big shock when they get in the real world after they move out of the house.

Our society has gotten this win, win attitude and life isn't like that. In the real world you have good days and bad and no one gives a rats *** if you want to win all the time because that was the way you were brought up.

No, people have to be taught that you lose also, so when you do win it will be more appreciated.

For them trying to make their kids feel better thay have destroyed another kid. Hypocrites are what they are.

  4. I have to agree with you. It ashame.

  5. i agree with you! i think it is so stupid that they wont let him play and are making the team drop out of the league. i think if hes that good and they are so concerned they should let him play in a league with boys a LITTLE older than him. also i think parents should stop whining. its not about winning or losing its how you play the game.(corny i know but its true!) little league is about teaching them about the skills of the game and how to be a good winner and a good loser.

  6. Wow. That is beyond ridiculous. In ANY sport, Whether your awesome or awful, Someone is going to get hurt. So if they want to ban that poor little boy from Little league for being too "dangerous", they may as well ban sports all together. Poor thing....Arrogant b******s who banned him......

  7. I read this story a couple days ago and couldn't believe it.  The other team forfeited when this boy took the mound.  How sad for little Jericho.

The kids who bat against him wear helmets.  The coach can get face masks to clip onto the helmets if they are worried about the batters getting hurt.

The adults made the decision, not the kids, and the kids are the ones suffering from it.  Let the kids be kids and LET THEM PLAY!

  8. This is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard.  How could you ban a little kid for being to good at something.  Also  when I was nine I was in a league with a pitching machine and they always kept it at 40 so I really don't see the problem.

  9. I know, it's crazy! Sure, if the kid was purposely throwing balls AT other kids at high speeds then he needs to be removed but that is NOT the case. What does this teach our kids? That you can't be too good at anything or you will be punished? Aim for mediocrity? GREAT.

If they really had such a problem with the speed of his pitches they could have at least let him play in a league with older kids or something. This is just insane... that kid should be praised for being so talented not punished so other peoples kids will continue to think the world is a big fluffy rainbow that revolves around their feelings.

  10.   i totally agree.  kicking the kid off the team is just gonna make HIM feel like c**p.  thats what happens in a nation where everyone gets a trophy just for participating.  its dumb.  the kid is good, let him play.  kids need to learn how to loose or they grow up and when they actualy loose at something that matters they dont know how to deal  with it.
