Boy friend's cruel jokes?

We both are at the 30s already and he is a month older than I am. When I painted my toe nails the other day, I thought that looked cute, so I said I wanted to put a toe ring on too. He laughed and said I was in mid age crisis, trying to make myself look younger than I really am. Sometimes he would make a compliment on my look, then he said for older age. I seem able to get him back each time with a haha, but I don’t like it. Does it happen to you? What do you think when men do that? Whatever the reason would be, I don’t think it is a classic thing to say. Can I stop him without making him feel I try to change him? You know this is the careless personality that I am aware of and I don’t like it.

Yes i would definitely let him know that they are not falttering to you at all. People that say nasty things about others are insecure about something...maybe he is having a mid life crisis and taking it out on you...not cool. Just let him know or let him go. You deserve more respect.

You know, you're kind of dumb for a chick your age; you should know that hints don't work.  You just have to tell him that it bothers you, and you would like it if he stopped.

He is just a jerk and he won't stop until you tell him to stop and mean it. There is a chance he may not stop and if he doesn't, then it is time to say goodbye to him.
