Boy names for a character in my story?

Question

I would like some names that are kinda German, maybe meaning river or earth? Or just German sounding, or at least European. The character is a carpenter with blue eyes flecked with green, slim and tall, olive complexion, black curly hair. I know Reverie could be a girl name, but would that sound weird for a boy?

Avani- is sanskrit and means earth.
