Boy or girl, did you know before ultrasound? >>>?

Before you found out what you were having via ultrasound, did you have any indicators that you "just knew" and then it was confirmed by ultrasound? I read an old wives tale about a faster heartbeat could be a girl. And more acne the mother has also means girl because of a girls hormones. Thoughts?

I have had two girls and one boy and I am pregnant, 28 weeks along with another boy. I know everyone is different but both my girls I felt move higher up towards my bellybutton in the begining and both boys were really low when I first felt them move. Also I was stiffer, sicker and bigger wiright away with the boys, never even felt pregnant with my girls. Good Luck!

Not really a full answer to your question, but looking at our first ultrasound which was much too early to tell the gender (10 weeks), my husband said "That's a girl.  Look at her face and features.  Has to be."  

I wasn't at all convinced.  However, in the 2nd trimester, it was confirmed that we were having a girl.

My OB also thought so simply because I had multiple signs of a classic girl pregnancy - heart rate, carrying high, appearance, etc.  However, none of those are really true indicators.  You can have all those things and have a boy.

I just KNEW it was a girl. All the old wives tales said girl, everyone told me girl.

Wives tails are exactly that. Tails. With my first I just felt I was having a boy and that is what I had. With my second I was SO sure that I was having a girl and guess what... I had another boy. It's a 50/50 shot. No matter what you have though it is still fun to try and guess. Congrats!

no...i could have swarn i was having a boy. ultrasound says girl.

i asked my doc about the heartbeat thing and she said its a 50/50 chance its right...the same odds as if you just took a wild guess

I had dreams that my first child was a boy and I just knew...he was a boy. I am having dreams that this one is a boy too but everyone is telling me I am having a girl because it looks like I am smuggling a basketball under my shirt. So, who knows!! I have my ultrasound Sept.8th. So, it's a guessing game until then....I still think it's a boy though.

Well I've chosen not to find out the s*x of my baby nor did I with my last one.

With my last baby I could've swore I was going to have a boy, but somehow my hubby knew I was having a girl from day one. I dunno about the faster heartbeat but the acne might be true cause mine really flared up last time and I had a girl.

This time my hubby says we're going to have a boy so I think I might believe him this time :) my acne hasnt flared up and all my symptoms are different from last time.

Everything that claims to tell the gender is false.

The only way to be 100% is to have it as even ultrasounds can be inaccurate.

My husband and I both "just knew" from the day we found out we were pregnant that we were having a little boy.  So... we were not surprised when the ultrasound reveled a little boy!

No it's the faster the heartbeat the more likley it is to be a boy!

With all 3 of mine i knew before any ultrasounds confirmed it, i just had a gut feeling...mothers intuition maybe.

Well, there are lots of wives tales, but I don't trust any of them. I've heard the heartrate one, and the way you're carrying (although everyone said I must be having a boy because of that and they were wrong!), that if you're really sick it's a girl.... But I know people who "disproved" all of them. I did "know" I was having a girl before our ultrasound though. I had a dream that my late father came to my house to visit me. I stood there shocked because he was alive, and he just said, "What are you waiting for? Go get the baby." So I went upstairs and got a little baby girl to bring to him. I woke up and just knew it was a girl. And I was right! :)

I had a feeling I was having a girl, but I didn't want to get my hopes up too much so I didn't dwell on it.  Turns out I'm having a little girl :)

They're just myths. Although I do believe in mother's intuition. I knew my first one was a boy and I was right and now I'm preggers with my 2nd and I found out I was right with this one. It's another boy.
