I always used to complain about boy racers but now i have my own car at my disposal.

Even if i drive slowly my insurance will still be sky high, so why drive slow?

My parents pay for the car so who cares if it gets nacked?

Why would i slow down....mabey if i killed some one or got some penalty points....

I just can't see why i would, why would you slow down?

  2. .

Anonanus....go on a track day, you'll enjoy it, learn your limitations and all in a relatively safe environment.

I love driving fast, just not on the roads....it's impossible to do racing speeds on the road w/out having an accident, so get your parents to fork out for your education.

Motor vehicle crashes are the leading cause of death among 15- to 20-year olds.

According to the U.S. Department of Transportation, 3,490 drivers in this age group died in motor vehicle crashes in 2006 and an additional 272,000 were injured.

Drivers age 15- to 20-years old accounted for 12.9 percent of all the drivers involved in fatal crashes and 16 percent of all the drivers involved in police-reported crashes.

Twenty-five percent of teen drivers killed were intoxicated. In 2002 (latest data available) the estimated economic cost of police-reported crashes involving drivers between the ages of 15 and 20 was $40.8 billion, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA, http://www.nhtsa.dot.gov ).

Among licensed drivers, young people between the ages of 15 and 20 have the highest rate of fatal crashes relative to other age groups, including the elderly. In fact, the risk of being involved in a fatal crash for teens is three times greater than for drivers age 65 to 69.....................

  7. It's people like you who push every bodies insurance premiums up. You obviously don't care about other road users and are probably an inexperienced driver. If you drive like a d*ck you WILL have an accident, maybe then you'll realise why you should slow down!!

  10. I was a bit wild 30 years ago.  I knew what everyone here is saying was true, but my need to impress was greater.

What stopped me driving like a nut?  A few very near misses.  Running over a cat and realising it would not have happened if I had been going the legal limit.  Wondering what an angry father might do to me if I ran down his wife or child.

  11. I hope that when you do have an accident which you will, you dont hurt anyone but yourself, you stupid arrogant no brained a*****e............

  12. Drivers will only learn when they have an accident and at that point they deserve it no matter how serious, I feel sorry for the innocent people involved.
