My partner and I live a few hours away from each other. And my birthday is the 17th of this month, and his happens to be on the 18th. Well he hasn't asked what I want for my birthday or really even mentioned it. But ALL I want is a him to visit me, but how do I bring that up with out sounding needy/need something for my birthday. I just don't know how to bring it up, and stuff without making him feel guilty if he can't. As I do not want anything but to see him.

  1. Just be like OMG I just rembered my b-day is the 17th!

Act like ur dumb and forgot!

    haha

If Ur not like blonde kinda person Try just hinting it

    say I really hope i get.....for My b-day!

    :D

  2. Call and say, how about getting together for our birthdays.  It's as simple as that.  Then you both pick a day that you can actually make it.  We rarely celebrate on the day of anything because of other things to do.

If he is your partner and boyfriend, surely he is having some contact with you otherwise.  If you never hear from him, I think it is over.

When my boyfriend lived a couple of hours away, we talked everyday and told each other how much we wanted to be together.  Wanting to be with the one you love who loves you, too, is not being needy.

Re-evaluate this relationship.  As for asking for a present, sometimes you have to do more than hint.  Sometimes you have to tell.  What are you getting him?  Since being together is all you want, just ask to get together and do it.

  3. Honestly, I think you should just ask. If he already has plans, then that is just something you will have to accept. But you will never know unless you ask.

Besides wanting to spend your birthdays together doesn't come across as needy in the least. I can't think of many better ways to spend a birthday then with a significant other. I think it's kind of sweet.

Anyway, just take the initiative and find out. As a male I personally wouldn't mind being asked and I doubt he would either.
