He's got enemies and said he got shot last night and went straight to the police. Thing is, surely he'd be more injured than that...?!

  1. a 22 is small. in and out shot matters where he was hit but its really not lethal. the lead on that caliber is about a 1/4" x 3/8"

  2. It depends, what part of the body and if the pellet was pointed or rounded and also from what distance, quite feasable.

  3. Depends at what range he was shot - at anything over thirty metres, the sting is really going out of the pellet.  Some thick clothing, like a leather jacket, can be excellent protection at close range, yet there are freakish occurrences every few years of people who are killed by a shot from a .22 air-rifle - I can recall a hit in the throat, and one in the eye which killed both victims.

  4. Get a new boyfriend. Most blokes don't get shot with air rifles. Only dodgy ones.

  5. I've been shot a couple of times with a .22 air rifle and all they left were little circular bruises. It would depend on your boyfriends clothing, location of injuries and distance from shooter. Mine weren't serious because I was shot on the arm and torso and was wearing thick clothing, I was also around 100 yards away and sprinting from my irate friend, whom I'd just shot on the *** while he was lining up a shot on a poor little bird instead of a target.

  6. Entirely.

  7. Have you seen any injuries for yourself? An air rifle would almost certainly cause injury if hit, even if it's a small puncture wound.

Also, an air rifle wouldn't cause too much damage unless it hit in the eye or head at close range.

  8. Sometimes a pellet from a air rifle will just simply hit and cause no injury. I would go to the hospital.
