I want to participate in the volley ball intramural at school soon. I don't have much experience with it and i don't play sports that much. Should I try it out and what should I suspect from it?

  1. Don't sweat intermural at school. Most people at a school don't have any idea what they're doing, even if they pretend to, or seem to. At a middle school age, the only people that really are any good/know what they're doing are the FEW naturally talented, or the rep/competative players. Don't expect to get the ball over a lot, or to have the ball go where you want it to. Also, don;t expect to be able to serve, block, or hit at all, or well, those are skills that need practise. Some people can, but most can't so don't sweat it. As long as you remember not to be  cocky, overly appolagetic, or shy, just think of it as a social experience, and a chance to try something new and have fun. And... nothing's more annoying than a kid that has no confidence, or thinks that he is the best.

  2. Yea! Try it out and see if you like it. It is an awesome sport and is easy for some to catch onto. If you are starting out inexperienced, that's okay. Most coaches are nice enough to work w/ you personally.
