Was it interesting? Girly? Informative of a what happens in a girls mind? Or something to that effect?

Long explanations (I'd like to read both your good and bad thoughts of it) are gladly welcomed. :)

  1. not a guy but... this is my view & i think sum guys may think the same.

    WAY too much romance.

but this other guy i knew was totally into the series.

  2. Nice question i want to know what guys think about the book!!!haha

  3. Not a boy, but I'll give you the opinions of the 4 boys I know who have read the books.

    Football player--

"Stupidest thing I've ever read. I hated it. My mom forced me to read it, and they sucked. Bella is the worst kind of girl imaginable and Edward doesn't act like a guy. The writing is awful, the plot is cliche and stupid, and the characters suck".

    My best guy friend--

"I LOVE THEM! They are like the only series I've ever been able to read more than once! Bella is kind of annoying, but the rest of the book is awesome! I want to be a vampire!" (but, just so you know, this friend of mine is femmy in the first place. I adore him, but he acts more like a girl than I do. He loves shopping, loves chickflicks, loves musicals, loves romance, blah blah blah).

    Another guy friend--

"The first was okay, and it went downhill from there. New Moon was okay, but Bella was annoying. Eclipse was okay, but Bella was too dramatic about everything. She sounds like a sucky girlfriend to me. Breaking Dawn just sucked all around. She should have stopped at Twilight. ".

    My Geography teacher--

"How did these even get published? They are the most ridiculous books I've ever read. Stephenie Meyer has no vocabulary at all-- how many times can an author use the words "chagrin", "amber", and "marble"?! I read them to find out why so many students are obsessed. By the time I was done with Eclipse, I was just rolling on the floor laughing because they are SO cheesy, cliche, and predictable. Edward is unrealistic-- boys don't act like that. And a vampire baby? How is that possible? And where is the PLOT of this book? What's the point of the book? There isn't one. They barely deserve to be called "novels". Breaking Dawn was horrifying".

  4. Nice question. My brother thinks exactly the same way I do, if that's any help. My opinion is that they are books chock full of bad storylines, plotholes, and extremely bad role models, including a doormat "average" girl, a "perfect" abusive boyfriend, a beautiful vamprie woman who exists for the sole purpose of being a wife and a mother (Whaaaa?!). and many others I don't care to mention. If you think you can snag a girl by emulating Ed C., think again.

EDIT: Freaking fantastic answer, Why So Serious? You rock!

  5. I thought it was a mindless, plotless load of c**p that was repetitive and boring. JK Rowing proved that some books should be over 500 pages; Stephenie Meyer proved that some shouldn't. It wasn't interesting at all, and the vocabulary that she used seemed as if she picked it all from a thesaurus. Basically, I hated it and I think it's one of the most cliche and predictable books I've ever read.

  6. Didn't even bother reading such an overly publicized series.

When I see "Team Bella, etc.," I know it's crappy teen fiction.

I GET IT, it's almost unrequited love, in the sense that they love each other but can't have each other or whatever, and every teenage girl can relate. She should have left it at one book.

Nothing's good when its overly publicized.

  7. Just like everything else that gets an incredible amount of attention by little kids.. OVERRATED.

  8. Haha. im not like most guys. i really liked the book because it was long and very addicting. it also helped me with my romance skills ;)

  9. My friends told me it was good, and their squealing in front of the movie poster made me want to at least try reading it, so I borrowed it from her.

    ....

THE most BORING THING I have EVER READ. I'm sorry, but the first chapter, my brain just shut off and I lost all interest. I was told it's not too heavy on what many call "girly stuff", which I find extremely dull, but apparently my friends were wrong. I just hope they don't drag me into the theatre to watch this chick flick.

  10. it was a well um a

                    ok a little i think :)

  11. ah-mazing!!!! bella doesnt think like most girls, tho so i dont know about the whole ' getting into the girl mind' thing. they go like it when guys are gentlemen, tho ;)   I LOVe TWiLIGhT!!!

  12. I'd like to see what guys say to this.
