Boys and girls what do you actually prefer?

is there really anything wrong with being pale? does it just look disgusting or do some people like it? coz, obviously im pale and my boyfriends ( luckily) the only other person ive ever know to actually like pale people if you know what i mean? i mean like EVERY girl i know is going out there and either going on sunbeds, getting fake tan, laggaing on make up, and i would just like to know, do boys think that its a bit fake, or would they prefer girls to do all these things, just top make them tanned. Is being pale ugly? lol i always got picked on, and was just wondering whats so wrong with it! would be nice to get some nice answers aswell! lol thanks!

Well now I'm here let me tell you how much I prefer being pale. I'm not abnormally pale but I'm fair skinned and I hate having a tan. It's my trademark :)

All my friends waste their money on sunbeds which are as bad as smoking where cancer is concerned, or fake/spray tans which leaves me hanging around with oomp loompas (not a good luck). They also bring their confidence down by fretting about how pale they look and stuff

Stick with the natural you! Guys who date girls for their tan aren't worth bothering with. Be yourself, be confident and embrace your own self. Guys will luv ya :) x

I am a girl and I have the same problem as you. I have always been pretty pale, especially my face. My parents and friends tell me it's beautiful and natural looking, but I get jealous when I see all my friends so tan. I sometimes tan on my body and legs but still I'm not as tan as them and my face is very pale and doesnt tan. I don't think that there is anything wrong with being tan. It's better than having a fake tan and risking getting skin cancer. Be happy with your skin and ignore people who make fun of you. Pale skin is beautiful! Tell them that they will regret making fun of me when they find out later in life that they have skin cancer.

i prefer tan, but if she's hot enough pale can b ok too.

it seems that u have to be VERY hot to pull pale off and being tan can make some people better looking.

lots of girls like having a tan because it makes them look thinner, and makes them glow.

Honestly, I prefer pale skin or NATURALLY tan skin.

I hate it when people go to tanning beds or use tanning lotion for their entire body. It's gross. Tanning beds, you can eventually get skin cancer. =/ Or you end up all wrinkly.

I love pale skin though. It's hard to find nowadays.

EDIT: If it matters to you, people for some reason like tans better, regardless if it's fake or not, because you look "healthier". Fake tans at salons, if it's not spray are not healthy. >_>

Dont try to tan because when you are older they will just turn to wrinkes. And then when you are 30 all your friends will be jelous of your nice skin!

Well for me i think that the more natural someone is the more appealing they are. I mean i honestly don't know any guys who actually like the girls who TRY SO HARD to look good. In my opinion a girl is appealing when she is confident about herself and isn't always worrying about what her hair looks like or how pale she is. If people make fun of you is ,maybe because they're jealous. Maybe they're jealous of you because you don't have to try so hard to look good.

Over all definitely be happy with the way you are and don't let any a$$ tell you how you should or shouldn't be.

The guys i know don't seem to fussy about skin colour. It depends what your natural colour is. If your pale, you tend to suit being pale. I think it looks really odd when naturally pale people use fake tan because it just doesn't suit them.

i too am very pale, but i don't mind it really.

I think it looks just a nice as any other skin tone, depends how people carry it.

Just because people have a tan does not make them more attractive.

You get pretty people of all skin shades so not to worry.

Even my family laugh at me for being pale and they're white as sheep too.

I have a certain tone to my face though so it doesn't make me look ill but a lot of people associate being really white with being sick so that's where they get it from.

Pale is not ugly! Ugly is ugly. :)

I'm a girl, and personally, I think tan looks gross.

Girls who tan look like crossbreeds between humans and carrots.

Not to mention tanning usually results in cancer, which is no fun.

I think pale is the most beautiful colour for caucasians...

Think: vampires, or look at old paintings from France.

Most of their beautiful women were pale.

So stay pale! and know that you are much more pretty than a carrot hybrid :D

Please whatever you do don't get a fake tan. It looks horrible and totally unattractive.

As for pale skin, I agree with your boyfriend. It look very, very s**y.

Besides if you boyfriend likes it who cares what anyone else thinks.

Whoever bullied you about your complexion was probably taking their insecurities out on you. They spotted a slight difference in you and jumped on it. They are the ones with the problem, not you.
