Boy’s events 2011 Australian Age Championships:
Day five Update 
Final day of the 2011 Australian Age Championships sighted superb performances of youth swimmers in their final events. The championship included the finals of 200m butterfly, 200m Individual Medley (IM), 200m freestyle, 100m back-stroke, 100m freestyle
and the 200m back-stroke in the boy’s category.
The session started with the 17-18 year's 200m butterfly, where Jordan Chyra conquered the top of the podium in 2:02.73 minutes. His aggressive swimming strategy placed him considerably ahead of his closest swimmers, Zac Dalby and Matthew Briggs. Dalby clocked
a time of 2:03.47 minutes for the silver medal, while Briggs touched the wall third in 2:03.57 minutes.
Next was the 15 year's 200m IM, where Max Muggeridge claimed the gold medal, clocking a time of 2:08.74 minutes. Liam Cunneen and Alex Williams followed him on the podium for the silver and bronze medal, touching the wall in a time of 2:09.43 and 2:11.44
minutes respectively.
In the 200m freestyle, 14-year-old Mack Horton displayed a dynamic swim and stepped on top of the podium with a timing of 1:54.88 minutes. He was followed by Australian Crawl’s Mitch Phillips and NZL’s Mincham, who touched the wall for silver and bronze
medal in 1:55.25 and 1:55.78 minutes.
Moments later, the arena spotted 13-year-old Nick Groenewald triumphing the podium’s top in an Australian Age Record time of 59.00 seconds. Groenewald was the only one to clock a time less than one minute and was followed by Seijun Ohori and Lachlan Angel
in a time of 1:02.08 and 1:02.21 minutes.
After few minutes, 18-year-old Kenneth To of Trinity Grammar occupied the gold medal, posting a time of 49.64 minutes. His time was almost two seconds away from his closest competitor, David McKeon, who earned the silver medal in 51.23 minutes. Cameron Wong
followed them on the podium for the bronze medal in 51.38 seconds.
The last event of the session was 200m back-stroke, where 16-year-old Core Main touched the wall in 2:02.76 minutes for the gold medal. He was followed by Ryan h**e and Cameron McEvoy, who clocked 2:04.37 and 2:05.07 minutes for the silver and bronze medal.
The arena extremely enjoyed the final session of the Australian Championship and the swimmers expressed happiness to be a part of one of the biggest Australian swimming events.
