FC Rostov’s Miodrag Bozovic has commented on the latest Russian Premier League 2-2 draw against Anzhi Makhachkala at Stadion Olimp 2
Though http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/FC-Rostov-c39192 managed to get in front after conceding a first-half goal, the host team surrendered the advanatge courtesy of an injury time goal against a star-studded Anzhi Makhachkala side.
The Selmashi played the crunch league tie on the back of a 1-0 defeat against CSKA Moscow last week.
Miodrag Bozovic remained tight-lipped after the opening day defeat against the Moscow-based club. However, the manager has spoken of his dissatisfaction after the current stalemate.
Bozovic lamented the latest draw, insisting that they would have won the match had they defended well in the dying moments of the mouth-watering encounter.
The fact that Rostov failed to win the respective match despite playing with a numerical advantage for more than an hour displeases the former Dynamo Moscow coach, who believes that they should have done better in the circumstances.
However, Bozovic tried to defend himself, saying that his average team has played a wonderful match against a team filled with star players.
There is little arguing to the statement that the Makhachkala-based club have made expensive purchases since Suleyman Kerimov’s arrival at the helm. The Russian billionaire, who joined the Dagestani club last year, managed to sign
Samuel Eto’o, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Roberto-Carlos-c31317 and Lacina Traore lately.
“The game was interesting. In the first half both the teams had a lot of chances. After the break, we scored an optional goal. We then thought that we have nearly won the match after scoring the second goal, having already levelled
the match. However, I think Anzhi deserved the draw. We should have acted faster in certain areas to trouble the opponent.”
“Anzhi have a decent squad with a very good selection of players and any player can do unpredictable things on the field.” The former Amkar Perm head coach was quoted as saying.
Commenting on Jan Holenda’s goal, the Montenegrin coach insisted that it will give a lot of confidence to the Brazilian striker.
