Braces Help! Why are my teeth not moving?

Question

I've had my braces for almost 2 months now on the top. I don't see anything at all happening. Is it too early to tell?? Am I just being impatient. How long does it take these d**n things to show me tha tthey are working?

I guess, I was just expecting them to work a lot faster, seeing that they caused me so much pain in the beginning. It kinda makes me think that I am wasting my money....

ya i have had braces for 3.5 years and u really cant see them moving its like growing it just happens over time and after 2 months they shouldn't have moved much but for the time u have 2 have them on is based on the problem i have a cross bite and they thought it would take 30-36 months but they were way off since i am already 6 months over the max but yea braces suck but really u just got 2 live with them even if its for 3.5 years and so u no u kinda get used to them after a while.... hope that helps u

it just moves a little bit...i couldnt tell that my teeth had moved but the orthodontist could...its just like when you notice that your puppy has grown a lot...at least thats how it was with me...just suddenly noticed that my teeth had moved

I dont know my teeth moves within the first week.

I had the damon (sp?) brackets and they worked faster then regular braces. I know mine moved right away.

I remember I had excruciating pain in my teeth for like a week, I couldn't even sleep. I called the orthodontist and he said I was in pain because my teeth were moving. He was right!

It especially sucks when they tighten the wires and you can't really chew food.

I most likely am going to get braces again so I'll be back in that boat again. :)
