I have a cross bite in my mouth and it is really bothering me. Also, my two front teeth are split. Both My Aunts and my cousins have had braces for the exact same thing. My mom has a cross bite but won't get it fixed. She said that if I have to have braces that I am getting them. I am scared because everyone is telling me I will have to get braces because all my other family members had to.

  1. don't be scared....

  2. It is so worth it to get braces. I was self conscious of my smile for my whole life, and I always hated it, but then I got braces and it was a little embarrassing and uncomfortable at first, but now I've had them off for 6 months and I couldn't be happier. It was so worth it, and if I had the chance to go back a few years and do it again, I still would.

  3. you  prolly will get braces but they are nothing to be afraid of they do not hurt wen you get them and no one will think your weird some people think its cool and get them even if there is nothing wrong with there teeth i had them for 2 yrs for open bite seriously its worth it my smile is great now

  4. What's wrong with getting braces?  They are a discomfort, but when its over you'll be sooooo happy!  I promise.  I had a bad overbite (someone told me "why do your teeth turn the corner before you do" during an argument once... grrrrrr!) but after I had braces people would come up to me and say "you have a beautiful smile."  i mean, i could smile at mc donalds and someone would compliment me.  complete strangers, and not even trying to hit on me.  you should be excited!

  5. It's ok to be scared.  But braces are an easy way to get a straight, beautiful, healthy smile.  Be grateful that your mom realizes it and is willing to help you get them!

  6. dont be scared. i was scared but it was really an easy process!
