Braces Question, Please Help I Need It?

Okay I am going to get braces in sometime in September and I need to know if it hurts to get them and does it hurt more when they are colored?

Also does it cost more to get the braces colored, if so how much?

i guess this dependson the person but for me it was a dull, achy soreness that lasted a few days during which i could not chew anything. i basically survied on applesauce, smoothies, and juice the same day as gettin my braces on and everytime i got them adjusted, unless it was a minor adjustment. as for the colors, do you mean colored rubber bands? because they are exactly like the clear ones except for color. i advise you take an ibuprofen or some other over the counter pain killer 10 minutes before you get your braces put on and you should be fine :)

it does not hurt more for colors or cost more.

it doesnt hurt as much as people say, so dont listen to everyone.

it might be a little sore, but dont stress.

My twin daughters have braces and they said it did not hurt.  They even ate a burrito when they got home!  The colors are the elastic bands they but around the brackets.  Those are not extra.  Good luck!

the color doesnt hacve anything to do with the pain. and it doesnt add on to the price. color is a normal thing to get on them.

it doesn't hurt more for color, and it doesn't cost more either. Some orthos don't offer color though.

It doesn't hurt to get them on, but it aches a few hrs after

It only hurt to eat for a few days for me.. and trying to put orthodontic wax on the brackets wasn't fun either... so I resorted to stuffing tissues in my mouth... it sounds stupid but it helped >__>

I don't think coloured braces would hurt any more.
