  1. probably, but WEAR YOUR RETAINERS.

It's crazy to go through the pain and expense of braces and then watch it all fall apart in less than a year b/c you didn't want to wear your retainer. Trust me, when you're older, you'll be glad you did.

    Enjoy your new smile!

  2. actually they might widen a little more

  3. Uhmmm actully i think braces come off in about 2 years or so....A month mabey but uhm anyway they should close when you get your braces off.

  4. Doubt it i had braces for 3 years and my dentist told me i was due to have them off on my 16 bday i was so exited. When the day came one of my teeth was still not quite straight, i had been waiting for so long even though he advised i wear them for another two weeks i decided i wanted them off then. i wish i hadn't. They often underestimate how long it takes teeth to move. I would keep them on until u are fully happy with the way they are. u have suffered for this long make it worthwhile

  5. Yes, they should.

    Good luck=)

  6. yea wow u must be really excited

  7. hmmm it is not nessesary that theyll close im sry....

  8. yes they will

  9. hi there, i just got my braces off 5 months ago.you know, my orthodontist is so good that before she does any work done on my braces, she makes sure i understand what she's doing.since i completely understand what my dentist told me, here's my thought, yes it will close but there's a big possibility that you'll have the small gaps back when you take your braces off even though you wear your retainers 24 hours a day..why? because your bones that are holding your teeth are not yet calcified or matured.even though we see on our own naked eyes that the gaps are gone, we are not sure that the bones holding our teeth are hard enough to keep our teeth together.10 days is not good.you can research more on bone maturity.it will clear your mind.after my gaps were closed, my dentist stabilized my teeth with a wire to give my bones some time to mature.maybe about six to eight months of no rubbers or forces.just stability.it maybe too long if you think but it's worth it.my dentist's example was like twisting 2 branches of a plant then tying it up together with a ribbon.if you untie the ribbon in 10 days, the 2 branches will move apart, but if you wait for a while like months before you untie the ribbon, the plant branches matures and harden.so when it's time to untie it, they will stay together. bones takes time to mature depending on your bones calcium content.depending on how far  your teeth have moved too..there are a lot of considerations.it also have something to do with what kind of braces you are wearing.there is the standard one with the rubbers or the self ligating one,or the lingual braces.oh by the way,you can use the fixed retainers.my dentist placed my fixed retainers at the back of my teeth.my braces is at the front, so before she took it off,she fixed it at the back.it's called lingual retainers.it's the best one compared to the removable retainers because you'll be tempted not to use it especially when you'll feel those acrylic materials in your mouth.my dentist have this new braces too,it's called a lingual braces.this is good for people who doesn't want to have braces at the front.so it's like invisible.it works faster too.my dentist shows all types of braces, from there you could think which one you would want to use.probably you could ask your dentist too.you know, it's your teeth,so you have to be involved.it's hard having doubts, so try asking your dentist. i hope you got something with me.i love my dentist a lot.it's good she made sure i understood everything.now i can share what i've learned from her. have a nice day.

  10. Probably not, I still small gaps between my teeth but if you wear your retainer regularly, it will help in keeping the gaps from getting bigger.

  11. sadly i don think so. Ask ur dentist. Also i have a permanent retainer behind my lower back teeth so maybe you'll have something like that

  12. lol dont worry!!! when you go back to get them off you will see that its not really a gap its just the way the braces look!!!! ur welcome!!!!
