Braces Question???

I went to the orthodontist (Western Dental) and they gave me an estimate of about $4,050.00 USD. Is that expensive? I only have a little space between my front two teeth and a tooth in the back that is not quite in alignment. If this is expensive, where else do you recommend me go for a better deal? Thank you. Also, on average, how much are braces in California? Do the prices of braces go up or down as time progresses?

P.S. My parents don't trust dental school work or in-training dentists (to be on the safe side). We're looking for professionals with a degree.

No its not expensive. It depends on what is included in the package. We're paying 5,350 for everything. The treatment, the diagnostic records, the retainer etc....But if its just the base price, then yes it is expensive. If you have to pay for the retainer separately, of course its expensive. But thats a lot so I think everything is included. I live in California also. I went to a second orthodontist and they estimated it to be about 5,800. So we went ahead with the first one. If your parents feel its too much, have them look up another orthodontist in your area for a consulation appointment. They're totally free(Like your first one) and ask them about their prices. Good luck. You'll have beautiful teeth in the end.

no it is not. braces are just about a standard price everywhere.

$4,050.00 is a pretty standard price, I think :)
