Braces-Should My Teeth Be Moving Apart?

Okay, so I've had braces for about 5-6 weeks. And my two bottom front teeth have formed like a gap-is that normal and supposed to happen? Or is it totally bad? I'm like half panicking!

dont worry about it, its just a part of your teeth shifting in the correct position. by the time your braces come off there wont be any gaps.

dont worry, my 2 top front teeth did this to close up a gap. i was worried about this too, and mentioned it to my orthodontist the next time i went and she said its perfectly normal. it has now closed up and other gaps are forming so that the bigger gaps can close. ive had my braces for 2 1/2 years now and still dont think ill be getting them off anytime soon!
