Braces and Bands? Can You please Answer?

Question

i am getting braces soon but the orthadonist said that i would need rubber bands to! Do they hurt? The braces and bands also i was wondering if the bands came in colours? Also what do u think of these colours for my braces Deep Deep Dark Purple,torquise, Pastel Pink, Pastel Green, and white with black rubber bands! also do u think black is a bad colour for braces!

The bands don't hurt for long. You just have to be sure to wear them whenever you're supposed to or they may hurt when you decide to start wearing them again (just like a retainer). The bands don't come in colours (mine were just clear), but usually you can have colours ON the actual braces. I used to always get black and it's fine (after two years I was finally tired of picking colours every time they were tightened lol).

Be sure to get a lot of soft foods before you get your braces put on aswell. It is REALLY hard to chew for a while. Good luck!

once you first get the braces on your teeth will be sore for a week MAX

i was only sore for about 2 or 3 days. i would stick with only 1 or 2 colors for your braces-it's much easier for the orthodontist so they're not continually reaching for a different color. your mouth would also be too busy with all of your color choices. as for the bands, i was able to get a "variety" of colors. i got clear ones [preferred], but i also got green and purple ones. you don't tend to get the bands till later though, so i wouldn't worry about them quite yet

Deep purple can look nice. So can metallic navy blue (makes teeth appear whiter). DO NOT GET WHITE!!! they stain easily. Black can look like pepper supposedly.  Wouldn't recommend the pastels either.  io said to some one else and I will say it to you...have fun with them, experiment (you have them for quite a while)....I had rainbow. If you do feel like trying the pastels go for it.

ok. i have braces too! anyways, bands and braces dont hurt!! a couple hours after you get the braces, they will hurt though. im pretty sure that the bands dont come in color. also, i wouldnt get 3 colors in your braces. it looks kinda funny. if i were you, i would get one like i usaully do. also, black braces depends on your personality.
