Ok.. i got braces about 4 days ago and my ortho said that the roots of my teeth were shorter than average so I had a risk of something... (i forget what he called it).

Could someone guess what the name of the risk he was talking about was called?

Also, could u explain it to me, and the chances of it happening to me?...

Thanks.

  1. Did he mention root resorption? It means that the roots of your teeth can be shortened by moving them too fast. If you keep your teeth and gums healthy it probably won't be much of an issue. It's a risk in all orthodontics.

  2. idk, call ur ortho back and ask him. Sorry.
