Braces and soccer practice?

Question

Ok so on the day I get my braces, I also have soccer practice. (two days from now) my braces appt. is at 2:00 and soccer practice is at 6:30. Do u think I will be ok to play soccer? It doesnt matter if I miss a practice but I was just wondering because I heard that ur teeth would really hurt after like 1 or 2 hours afterwards and for the rest of the week. Oh ya and if I do go, should I wear like a mouthgaurd or something? Thank u! :D

and a mouthgaurd would be a good idea to wear while playing all sports.

If you are pretty good at tolerating pain, you should be fine!  Also, mouth guards are a really good idea.  When you are there at the ortho, ask them about mouth guards, and most offices have some special to wear with braces.  Good Luck!  Hope you have fun at soccer practice!
