Braces and spacers question??!!??

Question

Okay i got my spacers Tuesday of this week and i get my braces next Tuesday. But i was just wondering if the spacers hurt worse than the braces or the other way around?? Because my spacers are killing me and i am worried that the braces will hurt even worse?? please tell the truth!!

p.s. one of the women that put my spacers in said that the spacers hurt worse than the braces but i dont know??

Spacers hurt more at first because they are causing a shift with your teeth. The good thing about that is that you won't have to do it again.

The brackets are just cemented to your teeth. No pain there. However, the evil wire that they lace through the brackets is the culprit. They tighten the wire every month and a for a few days after the tightening, it will hurt. But not as bad as the initial spacers.

You won't be eating apples or corn on the cob for a while...

it is different for everyone...many ppl. told me that spacers hurt more, but for me spacers didn't hurt at all......braces didn't hurt that much when they were putting it on for me...but after a couple hours it hurt a lot....but over all the rubberbands and the chain that they put for me hurt the most....don't panic...it'll be fine

For me it was just a continuation of pain, I lost SO much weight after I got the spacers and then my braces.  But I would have to say that my braces hurt worse because it was ALL my teeth, rather than just most of my teeth.

i thought the spacers were worse. Braces will hurt really bad for the first few days, but once your teeth move the pain will fade. You'll get used to it after awhile  :)
