Braces colors for ceramic braces

Question

I need ideas for colors...I usually wear clear bands, but they stain very easily? Any recommendations to ease up on the staining of the bands?

I have braces and if you want them to blend, id get silver or somehing like that. i personally like to switch up my colors each time. I usually get like, pale pink or ppale blue to go with almost all of my clothes and to take the focus somewhat off of my mouth. if you really want them to blend, i guess white though but ill warn you- it stains so brushh your teeth often.  Id reccomend something not really bright, but still sort of fun and toned down! to do colors though, dont do like, neon bright. i got bright turquoise once and hated it, especially since i dont like people noticing my braces. good luck!!

Ahhhh...the straight forward answer to your question is, "avoid foods and habits that are known to stain"...I.E. Coffee, Tea, Smoking, Tobacco Chewing or Snuff Dipping and of course you must not have a habit of "not" brushing often enough....There is another issue you may be dealing with...Dental materials, unfortunately, are like any other material on the market, there are really fine quality materials and then there are not so fine quality materials...All plastics are subject to staining if they are not created to reject stain causing products. Maybe you need to rethink the kind of bands your wearing...Good luck and I wish you well.

Silver. The don't stain nearly as bad as clear and they blend in.

If by ceramic braces you mean the clear old fashioned kind, you can have them tie ligatures around the bracket instead of using o-tyes.  the ligatures are a white wire and they do not stain at all.  They can be annoying because the tail that gets left behind after they cut the wire can collect food under it.  Also, there is an opaque color of o-tye that is very light ALMOST a white.  It does not stain as quickly.  Did your orthodontist recommend using straws for sodas so it doesn't hit directly on your brackets?

If you have metal colour braces you can get bands that are the same colour so they don't notice.

But if you wanna make a statement outa ya braces you can go for like a really bright colour :)

My friend had braces for years and she would get her colors changed often depending on the season or the holiday.  (i.e. alternating red and green at Christmas).  I thought it was so neat!  At Halloween she got glow in the dark ones, haha.  So have some fun with it!
