Braces colors/tie-wires?

I got braces a few days ago and my orthodontist used tie wires to connect the bracket to the wire. Will I eventually get the colored ligatures?

I got the color coded bracket, do these get colored ligatures?

They look like this

  1. not sure , i've had mine for 2 and a half years now and i've just had plain silver ones througout it. I think coloured ones are for treatments that you pay for. Because when my friends got there coloured ones on they only had them for 8 months.

  2. I always had silver, the only thing colored was the bands. I would probably say if they aren't colored now they either don't have them/don't order them, or you won't get them

  3. most probably in your next adjustment.

  4. i had cloured ones for three years i was asked straight away which colours i wanted. ask your othodontist. it may depend which surgery you go to but i know a few people with coloured ones so i dont think they are that rare hope that helps a little
