  1. ortho cleans

then you just regularly brush and stuff

but about the dentist they just do a regular cleaning then when you get your braces off you just go back to normal

  2. They will clean your teeth like a dentist would. Be sure to have good brushing skills when you have your braces on because depending on how long you have them you can end up with a mouth full of cavities after they come off. Brush well, Get a good mouth wash like listerine and follow your treatment closely so you can get them off as soon as you can

  3. It is recomended that you get your teeth clean and get any molors filled before you get braces. At first you have to go back in 2 weeks and get a check. Then you must go every month for a check up and tightening, but you still have to go to regular cleanings... recomended every six months.

  4. no, when you get them on they'll clean your teeth for you. Brush well, mouth wash and floss and everything before you go. when you get there, they'll use a toothpaste that has really gentle exfoliators in it again, like the stuff at the dentists. it's so they don't trap any nasty c**p under the braces. also they'll stick better.

  5. when i got my braces, they cleaned my teeth really good right before they put them on. so I'm sure the orthodontist will clean yours too.

  6. i usually brush mine good before i go to the orthodontist. they didn't clean mine. but you will be sore, so take a couple of tylenol before you go. they're not that bad. but avoid hard things like ice and corn on the cob. also do not do gum. i bit into a piece of trident and my bracket popped off.

  7. your general dentist will need to do cleanings every 6 months. It's a good idea to get a cleaning before you get braces so they fill any cavities you may have before you start and make sure your gums and teeth are in good health. It would also be good for the regular dentist to assess your oral hygiene before braces, and show you if you need to improve.
