  1. They don't give you medicine or anything, but I think they squirt something in your mouth to numb it. It doesn't hurt and you'll probably barely even feel it.

  2. no drugs, Ask your doctor about Insignia braces, they are new and have a shorter treatment time.

  3. I just got mine put it.. about 5 hours ago.. it didnt hurt putting them in.. but now it aches.. i can eat anything solid really. cause it hurts

  4. Not much pain, nothing that Tylenol can't take care of.  You'll be awake for the whole thing.

  5. I just got my braces TODAY!! No, you dont get knocked out. You stay concious the whole time. Also, it doesnt really hurt when they put it in, as much as it is very uncomfortable. But afterwards, your mouth and teeth are VERY sore...at least for me.

  6. no you don't get knocked out...there's no reason it doesn't hurt no worries. When you get home they hurt a little but the pain goes away in around a day or 2. just take Tylenol or Motrin and you'll see a big difference. I know you thing everyone's pallet is round but it doesn't matter if your pallet is a point they'll know how to fix it and it'll look amazing when everything is done! hang in there! and don't worry!

  7. nope they dont put u to sleep and it doesnt hurt not untill the day after

  8. u will stay conscious and i dont remember much pain but if u have weak and sensitive gums i think there is some (not much) pain and it will hurt the first few days (mine hurt for like 5 days)

  9. It doesn't hurt when it gets put in, if you were too feel pain it shouldn't last that long. If you're getting fixed braces then you feel more pain getting them taken off. For a removable one then they just bung it in your mouth and it's finished.

Your teeth are bound to be painful and you might get toothache as your teeth will instantly be moving, but this should pass after a week.

    Good luck :)

  10. nope, your not knocked out for it. I'm not sure what they would do for your mouth pallet. As for the pain, i dont think there was much during the procedure but my mouth was a little sore afterwards. Take a few tylenol before you go and you should be fine. Also, i would suggest wearing chap stick because my lips got pretty dryed out due to the clamp thats keeping your mouth open.
