  1. yes there will probaably be abit of pain afterwards. the pain feels the same though. to lessen the amount ofpain you can eat or drink something cold as soon as your done with your appt. my ortho told me this lessens the pain youll feel.

take advil or tylenol, which ever works best for you.

i always got clear or white. i wanted my braces to be as invisible as possible! ive heard silver is popular as well, and looks clear

  2. 1. yes there will be some pain after they change the wire but not immediately.

but my ortho told me that it's never as bad as the first time when you first get them on.

    2. it's up to you which colors you get. we can give you some advice but in the end its what color you want on your braces. your gonna get tons of answers and suggestions but in the end you make the decision.

  3. It just feels tight when they do it. It's not too uncomfortable, but it might hurt the day after until your teeth adjust.

  4. Yes it hurts.  Get clear.

  5. I had mine done like a month ago and the same day you do it, the teeth aren't sore. The day after and for like a week it is. : [ i know it sucks!

  6. It's not painful, but your gums will feel sore afterwards.

    Get clear rubberbands~

  7. Getting a new, adjusted wire is a little tough on the mouth and there will be some residual aches because basically what the wire is doing is it's adjusting the structure of the roots of your teeth to your orthodontist's specification. After they heal they will still be able to take the full pressure of a working dentition.

As for the colors, don't get clear. They turn gross looking when they get a couple weeks old. Go for vibrant blues oranges and reds! They stand out the most and look the least like food/plaque.

  8. It doesn't matter what colors you have and it does hurt when they change the wire because they don't cut the wire down so its  to big for your mouth. I always like the color clear cause it looks subtle and most of the time it looks like you don't have any braces.

Ive had mine on for 5 years...... :(
