Braces- loose teeth with braces

has anyone with braces ever experienced a loose tooth...to the point it gets annoying?

I know your teeth are suppose to be kind of loose, but I have this one tooth that you can kinda feel it move in and out of place. literally when i just chilling and my tongue rubs up against it...I can kinda hear it snap in and out of place.

does this sound familiar to you as well?

Good thing the tooth is kinda cemented to the arch-wire or else it would be all over the place.

How long does it normally take for the tooth to become locked back into place and stop being so loose?

  1. I was actually worried about it myself... I have had braces for about 6 mos. and I just noticed that one of my teeth are loose. Evidently it seems to be a common occurence.

  2. I have braces right now and one of my back teeth is loose as well. I was freaking out at first, but after reading about it online, this looseness is normal. It just means the tooth that feels loose maybe stuck out more than the rest of your teeth and moved the most with the pressure. Just don't play with it or wiggle it on purpose. It needs time to set back into it's new place.
