Braces off soon.... retainer question

ok im getting my braces off in two weeks i wanna know if its alright if i wear my retainer all the time(for the two weeks leading to school) then take it off during school and put it back on when i get home? help plz

wear them as much as the orthodontist tells you to. you don't want your teeth moving. i'm pretty sure you only have to wear them all the time for the first couple days to a week. then it's only mainly at night.

It also depends on whether you have a permanent retainer or not. My orthodontist said to wear mine 24/7, but i wore mine only to sleep. Mine didn't turn out crooked because i had a permanent retainer.

No. Follow your ortho's advice. I took mine out just for work/school (because it made me lisp so badly that no one could understand me), wore it at night...teeth are messed up now. Don't let temporary vanity mess up nice teeth for life.

It depends on what your orthodontist says. But, when I get mine off, I have to wear it 24/7 [minus eating and cleaning] for about 3 years [a lot of time, I know].
