  1. They're both the same, same amount of time. I'd say braces, just because they're classic and don't look out of place. They're not too hard to manage either, despite all the hype the orthodontist will give you. Invisaligns aren't really that invisible.

  2. cost depends on your insurance. you can usually just check it out online at your insurance's website. (for example, i have cigna... i can log into cigna.org to view a list of coverages)

um, i had invisaligne for a year and i grind my teeth a lot... so it was a terrible choice. they ended up getting worn out quickly and didn't really do the job. my teeth were sort of straight before, now they're a little more straight... but i had to stop midpoint. braces are cheaper, and sturdier, not to mention work faster.

i'd recommend braces. and just for an example of how much they cost, under my ppo braces are $3,000 for the whole shabang. when i had invisaligne through my mother's insurance three years ago, she was in the process of paying nearly $8,000.

  3. Braces.  Invisalign works more on less crooked teeth.

  4. I've been wearing Invisalign for the last three months.

I'm paying (montlhy) for a total of $4,300 for a 15 months treatment to fix a lot of problems like an open bite, a midline shift, a lot of crowding and a buck tooth!

I'd rather have a painless plastic thing in my mouth than some metal thing that somebody is going to tighten painfully.

And I can take off my aligners whenever I want, when eating or cleaning my teeth.

My son had braces and I paid $4,000 for him so I'd say the price is about the same. I think braces are better for big problems. Your first visit to an orthodondist should be free so you can explore all your choices.

  5. you should see an orthodontist . . they could tell you all these things and recommend the best treatment
