Braces??????????????????

i got my braces on friday and it feels like there is sand or something on my teeth its like kind of gritty, is it normal? and what is it?

it's totally normal, it's just the cement that they put on for the braces, if it's like loose and comes off it's totally fine it's just the extra stuff they put on there, and if it's not loose then it's totally fine too, usually if it's not where it's supposed to be and it's stuck on there you can either go to your dentist or orthodontist to get it off.

Don't worry its just the glue/cement they used to stick your braces on with its perfectly normal it happened to me for the first week or so!!!
