  1. Yeah your mouth is sore after you get them until you get used to having them. Usually sore and feels wierd for a couple of weeks.

  2. Depends on who you are, i got my braces about a week ago and they are already feeling better. But for the first couple of days, honestly, it was like h**l in my mouth. :)

  3. It hurts for a loooooooooooong time.  And it hurts to get them off.

  4. While they are putting them on, there is definately some discomfort, but it doesn't hurt at all. Your mouth and lips get really dry because they leave your mouth open for a long time. After braces, they ache a lot and they are painful. When you eat you should try to focus on your back teeth and don't bite into food. Rip it off and chew with your back teeth. I still have my braces, but I heard it hurt when you got them taken off because they take a tool and pry them off, and of course they have to get the clue off and everything too.

  5. yes it hurts wen u get them but after an hour and then they hurt worse the next day

    good luck =]]

  6. It won't hurt during the procedure, it will hurt like 3 hours later you get them on. Because right after you walk out of the orthodontics, you won't feel a thing. But like I said, 3 hours later you'll feel the pain. I used orajel and Alieve to stop the pain.

    It worked :)

You'll have pain for about a week, it gets worse the second day.

And in a week or less you'll get little sores inside your mouth, that's the worst part. They're only there for 2-3 days though, and it's only when you first get them on, not like every time you get them tightened.

I don't mean to make your situation worse or anything, but that's the truth.

But it's SO easy after that, mine don't hurt me anymore, they only hurt when I get a new wire, or when i got this like permanent puller thing to pull one of my teeth back(but I only had that for like 5 weeks).

Or like this month when I got a chain band(you won't have to worry about that until like, 1 year after you've had your braces, and it's a good thing if you get it early though)

But if they do hurt after you get them tightened, it'll only hurt for probably 5 days.

And you only get a new wire like once every 3 or 4 months. :)

And you get so used to them, you forget you have them sometimes.

And I ate mashed potatoes, rice, pudding, beans, and jello.

    :)

Note-whenever I get mine tightened, it NEVER hurts me, but it's different from person to person, I guess it depends how much straightening your teeth need?

  7. it feels like you just want to rip them off ur teeth because there so tight.to me its an itchy feeling except for the teeth

  8. My Friend Has Just Got Them Lol x

She Sed She Has To Brush Her Teeth After She Eats Dinner Lol x

I Was Like Dont Eat Then Lol x

    Sorry For Reapeating Lol x

  9. not really so horrible to get on. but the next day the pain is so so painful. this pain last for around 3-5 days. so you will not able to eat anything hard or really anything with the pain sadly. But when getting them of its not painful at all. but it does fell great

  10. When they put my braces on there was pressure and a little pain. Then when I got home they hurt all day and into the next day. Then I eventually got used to them. Then they only hurt when they fixed this one tooth of mine and when I got them off I didn't even feel them take them off and the orthodontist was like "o.k go and see your new smile!" and I was like "their off?" lol, you'll be o.k.

  11. When you first get them on they won't start to hurt till a few hours later. Take a pain medication to help you deal. Eat soft foods and the pain will last q and a halp to two weeks.

  12. When you are getting the braces fixed, it does not pain but afterwards for 2-3 days it hurts but that can be taken care by taking a pain killer. The pain is due the fact that  pressure is put on your teeth by wire in braces and this pressure straightens the teeth. When you get them off, then also there is no pain. for more information on braces you can visit the following link

  13. Hurt more to get them on than it did to get them off..... I couldn't eat for 3 days. And then every time you have to get them adjusted you go through the same thing all over again, But I have to admit that the perfect smile was worth every achy tooth!

  14. Well, I wouldn't say it's that sore. It differs from person to person depending on how much of a drama queen they are.

For me it was like a dull headache in my mouth. It felt really weird when i ate for the first 2 or 3 days and it was a little sore to eat but 2 painkillers every 4 hours helps a lot. If your mouth is too sore to eat, Frijj milkshakes, yoghurts and soup are good to keep you going for a day or two.

Each time you get them tightened it'll ache again but every time you get them tightened the ache lasts for a shorter and shorter time. When I got my braces it went

Braces on: aching for about 2 days

Tightened first time: aching for about 2 days

Tightened second time: aching for about a day

Tightened third time: aching for about 8 hours

After that, it was only sore for a couple of hours afterwards.

Then when i got my braces off, I was so happy that I didn't care about any aching.

I won't lie though, my orthodontist made me wait a week after getting my braces off before I got my retainer and it was really sore because my teeth were being jammed in to a plastic mold of my teeth that didn't fit properly because my teeth had moved during that week. So ask your orthodontist if he can have your retainers ready on the same day or within a few days of getting your braces off to minimize any discomfort.

Braces are definitely worth it, they don't look all that nice but you will be very very happy with your awesome smile when your done. (P.S. make sure you brush your teeth really well to avoid getting brown stains where your braces were.)

  15. Actually, one of the fun parts of getting braces, is the experience. Every human is different, so some say it doesn't hurt, some say it does. I have asked many of my friends and most of them said it didn't hurt, but one of them told me the tightening hurt, she is the only person that told me about tightening and that it hurt. But remember, she is only one person. If it hurts, you just have to deal with it, when the dentists give me the numb thing, it hurts so much that I let a couple tears fall. But I don't make a big fuss. Just let it out, because holding it in is going to hurt more. Then its all over. Just go ahead and get it over with. When its done, you can say, it wasn't that bad. Or that was easy. Waiting for the pain is more painful than getting it (sometimes), or at least in this situation.

  16. Yes they kill. It hurts when you get them on. Not really the first day, but the next day you will O.D on meds for sure.

  17. They don't hurt to get them put on, they just feel really tight for the first little while and it is hard to eat certain foods for a while. Getting them off hurts a little bit, but only for a short while. And you don't mind that bit of pain because they are getting off!!
