  1. eat Ice cream

  2. I chose rainbow! (different colour for each tooth) It looked really funky, but I suppose not everyone has my garish tastes. I think light blue or purple would look best, but definitely not pink. Probably blue.

It doesn't hurt at all. It just feels a bit weird, that's all. You might feel a bit of pressure on your teeth when they fit the metal wire in, but you'll soon get used to that. The worst bit for me was when they put a little tube in to suck your saliva out so they can see clearly. It made my mouth really cold but I couldn't tell them because I had to keep my mouth open at all times! They put glue on your teeth too... or at least, that's what they did to me. I didn't like that very much either. It felt like nail varnish on your teeth...

...I don't know whether it will be the same for you, but don't worry! Everything was just fine and dandy... and they had nice music playing along in the background to stop me from getting bored. :) (It was an hour long to do the top and bottom)

And if you ever change your mind about the colour, you can change it every time you go for a checkup, when they tighten it or refit the wire. Or at least, I think you can.

Hope this helped - good luck!

  3. Whichever color you think suits you best you should get.I had braces put on when i was 8 years old and for my first colors I got pink and green and it looked really good. But for the process, basically you just sit down and the dude starts by applying some goop to little brackets which he glues to each of your teeth. It takes a while, maybe about 15 minutes. Then he bonds them by using a wand that he puts on the back of your teeth for about 5 seconds each. After that they'll slip in the wires, and then you'll get to choose what color of ties you want! (So much fun! lol) And then your pretty much finished! It doesnt hurt much the first few hours but as the time goes on, it gets worse. I'll by honest but the first night or the next morning its pretty brutal!! It really its pretty painful, I didnt take any tylenol but you definately can every few hours if you want. Also, eat lots of soft stuff like jello, ice cream, pudding, and shakes the first few days because its practically impossible to do. About a month later you'll have to go back and he'll put on heavier wires which will probabaly hurt some but not as much. Eventually it'll get to the point where getting them adjusted doesnt bother you at all. I hope this helped! And whatever you go through, just remember I know how you feel! Take care!

  4. Yes I think you should go with the blue, it matches better with more things. Getting them on isn't that bad, it doesn't hurt at all. Its just a little uncomfortable like getting your teeth cleaned at the dentist. But after you get home after a while they are gonna start hurting, so I recommend taking tylenol or motrin when you get home. Good luck!

  5. oh it does not hurt at all,if u are worried about that,I had them a year ago well actually I got them off 4 monthes ago.The color is totall up to you,I always got the brightest colors possible like hot pink and bright, bright orange it kinda shows ur personality!!!U get to change ur colors everytime!!

  6. Get the blue, it will look really nice.

Also, if your mouth hurts afterwards, use warm salt water rinses, it helps to slow down the swelling in your mouth.

All you do is pour a little bit of salt into some warm water, stir it around, and swish it around your mouth. Don't swallow though :)

Best of luck with your braces. :)

  7. Blue

Depends on the Doctor, dear. :)

  8. Its a really simple process, and i agree with your decision on the light blue, although i never got to have bands :(

  9. well i just got my braces on 2 days ago, and it is not as scary as other people say. i would suggest blue, but the color part goes on last. heres how it works. they put a ring around your molars, this is uncomfortable and may hurt a little, then they cement it on. the cement tastes bad, so do not swallow! then they will put a glue on your teeth and apply metal holders on one at a time. a light will dry the glue. once all of the holders are on, they will apply the wire and colors(which are bands of color they put around the holders) and you will be done! the part that might hurt is the first one, so take tylenol before you go to the dentist and take aleve or advil after, this helps the teeth not hurt.

    good luck!!

  10. i don't feel like going into detail about the process, i just woke up. =]

but i get the color dark pink every time. i really don't like pink that much, but i find (compared to other colors i've tried) they sort of blend in, and are less noticable with this color. Good luck and enjoy your new smile. =]
