Brad Haddin?..? Out next Test.....?

I have just read that Brad Haddin is out of the 3 RD test in Barbados next week..He has a broken finger..He broke it in last weeks match but struggled on,x-rays have revealed the break....

Luke Ronchi said to be flown over as his replacement....

Australia are going to be debuting 2 players in the same Test match for the first time since 1999-Adam Gilchrist Debuted besides Scott Muller...

My Questions is:....

1....How do you think Luke Rochi will go stepping in for Haddin-I dont know much about Ronchi,he is from W.A....

2....And how will Beau Casson go stepping in for Stuart MacGill?...

3....Do you think we are making a mistake debuting 2 players?...OR

4....Is it a good idea debuting these guys up against an easier apponant?..

Not saying West Indies are c**p,but a lot easier than playing a team like- say India.....

  1. well i dont think he has been ruled out yet, personally i think he'll still play, afterall, consider how long he has waited to get his chance at Test level, i dont think he let a broken finger stop him (besides, hes a keeper, we're a tough breed!)

however i most admit the idea of Ronchi replacing him worries me a little bit, as he tends to either get a hundred or he gets nothing, with no middle ground, i would (personally) lean more towards Graham Manou who had a good season for SA as hes a little more consistent with the bat, and the fact that outside of those 2, dont think theres anyone else good enough to take the job at the moment

as for Beau Casson, well if he plays, then best of luck to him! i hope he does bloody well, but will it be him, or will they let Symonds & Clarke (and lets not forget Katich is a reasonable part timer as well) and play 4 quicks with Noffke debuting, which personally i would do (but thats just my opinion), i'd have the 4 quicks on what supposedly will be a pace friendly wicket, and use the 3 part time spinners

no i dont think its would be a mistake to debut 2 players, if we dont have a choice then we have to dont we! you can either look at it as a risk or an oppportunity, i think the second one is better!

and yes i think having these guys debut V the Windies would be a better idea than debuting them V South Africa in our summer, let them get some confidence before throwing them in againist the Best of the Rest

    Star up!

  2. Ronchi will go ok..

Beau Casson is meh they should just play 4 quicks

They have to debut sometime and its better now than leaving it to an important match

  3. 1..Ronchi is a 27 year ols KIWI...Yep born in Manawatu N.Z...

he plays for W.A in state cricket..Hit the fastest 100 in state history last year-100 off 56 balls...He finished 2006/07 season with 40 first class dismissals...

So a pretty handy player i'd say...

2..Anyone has to be better than MacGill-Casson was said to be below-Cullen and Bailey in bowling ranks, but they have failed to impress so it's down to Casson...He took 29 wickets in last seasons pura cup.pretty handy lower order batsman too....

3...NO..Players have to debut sometimes,so why not do it when our apponants are not too hard to handle...

4..Yeah good idea like i said they have to debut sometime, yeah better against the West Indies....

  4. The Australian Cricket need new young talented players in the Australian team, as most of the Australian side contain many fairly old players, with only Clarke and Johnson as the youngsters. When the old players start retiring, we won't have any good young players to replace them.

Just look at the Indian team, their team is sooo young and sooo talented. Australia needs more young players to continue Australia succes in cricket.

    Go the Aussies!!!

  5. Thats a shame Haddin out. I know little of Ronchi. Hopefully he will go well, it is time to debut some new players anyway. Perfect against the West Indies cause we have won it anyway. Beau Casson has has a great season at an average of 35 and think he's sorta been caught up in the waiting for warne to go and the selectors respect for MacGill's patience for a callup. At 25 years of age he's got many strong years ahead of him. A good thing having some new blood comming through..............great for longevity
