Michael Hussey and Brad Haddin amassed 186 runs for the 6th wicket partnership to put Australia in a commanding position by lunch on the 3rd day of the first Test match against England at Woolloongabba, in Brisbane. As a result, the
hosts piled up a huge total of 329/5.

cover drive.
Mike Hussey smashed one of the best centuries of his Test career. The left hand batsman came to the crease with his team wobbling at a score of 100 for 3. He gathered 40 runs in partnership with Michael http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Clarke-c51120.
Clarke and Marcus North departed in quick succession to leave Australia at a troublesome score of 5/143.  Hussey consolidated the Australian innings with Haddin in a resilient manner.
Mr. Cricket remained unbeaten on a massive score of 124 runs. In his fine innings, the left hander displayed great technique and composure with the bat. He mixed attack with defence to counter attack the opposition.
Brad Haddin kept his senior partner company and provided him with valuable support. In the process, the wicket keeper batsman made a half century in his comeback Test. Overall, Haddin will resume his innings on a considerable score of 79.
England bowlers didn’t bowl that badly but they did not take a single wicket in the whole session. James Anderson and Stuart Broad bowled with great control to trouble the Australian batsmen, but without much luck. On another day, Anderson might have picked
up a five-wicket haul, if lady luck was on his side.
Previously, Australia ended the 2nd day on a competent total of 220/5, after dismissing England on a modest score of 260. Hussey led Australia’s fight-back by scoring 81 runs in a resolute manner.
England picked up five crucial wickets on day two. Anderson was the pick of the bowlers for England as he grabbed two wickets to bring his team back into the game.
Steven Finn impressed with his pace and extra bounce as he also scalped two important wickets. Finn’s persistent bowling earned him prize wickets of Clarke and Simon Katich.
