However, he was quick to defend himself, saying that his place in the side is not in danger and there was a lot of cricket left in him.

On his batting, the 34-year-old said, "I was just batting for the situation. There was some good bowling late in the day on Monday and I didn't want to take any risks. It was important for us to get through that first hour today which I would like to have
done and have a little more freedom after that but it wasn't the case.”
